West coaster here. Absolutely love this episode. It reminded me of a few things I haven’t done in a while! Thought I’d add a couple notes for anybody who’s interested.
DTD: Trader Sam’s doesn’t do reservations anymore; walkup only and you join the queue with the app. Parkside is a dining location and bar upstairs across from the dim sum place that has really fun cocktails and a secret menu if you ask to “wake up the glee club”; when the porch is open, there’s a view of the music stage down below. If you’re there seasonally , the GCH lobby is super fun with decorations, confectionary displays , and a hot chocolate and cookie stand (with cocktails).
DCA: Lobster nachos are at the Lamplight boardwalk dining (which is part of lamplight lounge but has a separate walk-up list); It’s the upstairs bar and dining on the pier as opposed to the full service restaurant down below.
Yay for the chimichanga call out!!! The original is still my favorite. Roaming characters really are awesome and now the app will tell you at least the general vicinity to find them. Also the character cast members can be amazing if you just ask kindly.
Important note for WDW vets: Lightning lanes are completely different in DL! Do your research before you go on rules and tips & tricks.
Have an amazing time and thanks for all the great content.
Great tips, thank you!
